Museum of the American Revolution: Bringing History to Life

At the crossroads of past and present, the Museum of the American Revolution immerses visitors in the story of America’s fight for independence. Through interactive exhibits, rare artifacts, and compelling storytelling, the Museum brings the struggles and triumphs of the Revolutionary era to life, deepening public understanding of the nation’s founding.

Supported by The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation, the museum has broadened its educational outreach, providing students, educators, and lifelong learners with engaging and thought-provoking resources that render history both relevant and accessible.

Expanding Educational Opportunities

The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation has played a pivotal role in enhancing the museum’s ability to engage young learners, supporting initiatives that bring history beyond the museum’s walls. These programs include:

  • Digital Learning Tools that provide interactive resources and virtual experiences for students and teachers, making the museum’s collections available to classrooms nationwide.
  • Through these initiatives, students engage with history in a way that feels real and personal, fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for America’s founding principles.

Preserving & Presenting America’s Story

Beyond its educational efforts, the Albert M. Greenfield Foundation’s support has allowed the museum to preserve and display artifacts that tell the story of everyday people who shaped the Revolution. The museum’s collection includes George Washington’s Revolutionary War sleeping and office tent, as well as personal letters, weapons, textiles, and more, representing a wide range of people from the Revolutionary era all carefully curated to give visitors a tangible connection to the past.

Through ongoing research and curation, the museum aims to broaden its narrative, ensuring that various voices and perspectives of the Revolutionary era are acknowledged and preserved for future generations.

As the museum looks to the future, it remains committed to bringing the American Revolution to life for new audiences. The success of its education and outreach programs has set the stage for future collaborations, expanded digital initiatives, and deeper engagement with underrepresented histories.

With the continued partnership of The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation, the Museum of the American Revolution will continue to inspire, educate, and challenge visitors to see history not as something distant—but as something that shapes the world we live in today.

Building out our in-gallery Finding Freedom interactive into an online resource available any time of day from anywhere in the world, with resources for students, teachers, and other digital explorers, has long been a dream of the Museum’s. We are so grateful to the Albert M. Greenfield Foundation for seeing the potential of this project and helping us to make it a reality.
